UPCOMING EVENTS Check the Changes

May 2 2008 9:30PM  Arms Harbor Originating from the flat lands of the furthest portion of rural north-west Tennessee, ARMS HARBOR, began developing their folk rock and alternative country style as musicians singing in church and grade school at an early age. Vivacity and zeal are always a given in their performances, so hand clapping and foot stomping are never far away when they are on stage.

May 3 2008    9:00PM Key of Life Key of Life is an acoustic duo attempting to capture the sounds of Nature; providing quality ambient music, enhacing the special moment with their eclectic, instrumental experimental harmonies, as well as performing popular World Class Music. Striving to explore new sounds combining a variety of instruments in a unique way. Always re-inventing themselves, in constant growth and passion to learn and create. Key of Life was born out of pure love for music and friendship.

May 3 2008    9:00PM Cindy Scott When my music makes a connection with someone, in an audience or listening to a recording, it makes all the hard work worthwhile to me. And, if I can make someone laugh with a joke, a one-liner, a self-deprecating observation, a stream of consciousness riff . . . well, that is a great joy. I love to laugh, and it’s wonderful to share laughter with others. But there’s also a time for serious music, and I believe I can rise to the challenge there too. Hopefully, these recordings offer a balanced glimpse into those styles.

May 10 2008     9:30PM  The Everangelic
The crowd clears from in front of the stage and a voice emerges from it. He had stepped down from the stage to sing on the dance floor....a new act. He must've spent three weeks combing his hair. He was imperially slim. He had the voice of an angel. He committed foreplay with the microphone........Then The Amps crackled, the speakers hummed and a melody; from the heavens above resonated straight through the bones of every being in the audience. The notes rolling out from the angel's lips with the fury of a waterfall crashing into the air in soundwaves of pure bliss. -Gary

May 17 2008     9:30PM Lord Paisley Beauty in an age of sighing terror. Colourful hedonism and enlightened temperance. The raw power of love, refined. A God of the ancient world journeying on a space ship, amused with acoustic instruments.

May 23 2008  9:00PM Cindy Scott In a live performance, it's just me and my guitars for the time being.
When I'm in the studio to record, I nearly always play all the instruments, McCartney style - guitars, bass, and keyboards, program and sequence the synth, and play drums when they're available. If I need an instrument that I can't play, I bring in a sesson player.

Jun 14 2008  9:00PM Doug Spears "Doug is as much storyteller as he is songwriter and performer. He is an artist who paints gentle portraits with words and music. His songs are like picture postcards from the past discovered in long-forgotten trunk on a Sunday afternoon. He draws from history and the heritage of his native Florida which gives this CD a regional flavor that is rarely seen in commercial music.
Doug Spear’s Truths & Lies is not a collection of cheerful, empty songs. They a stories of complex people in often difficult circumstances. His approach is always subtle and artful. The musicianship and recording are uniformly well done. His voice is always clear and crisp. If you miss the folk and folk rock songs of 60’s and 70’s, Doug Spears’ songs will evoke a very pleasant feeling of nostalgia, and send you digging in your attic for your old record collection."
